2022, March - 'Sokkels' - Group exposition, Schiedam, NL

A work of art is lifted from the ground by a pedestal and brought into our field of view. This ensures that we 'look up' to
a person or work of art, through which the pedestal increases its status. If statues are taken off their pedestals,
it is an irrevocable sign of a loss of status.

In the exhibition ’Sokkels', twenty-two artists investigate the meaning of the pedestal for their work and the symbolic value
they want to give it.

The artists come from Schiedam, Rotterdam, Delft, Vlaardingen, Maassluis and Den Bosch.
